KELIN & UNDP Kenya undertake the First County Dialogue on HIV, Human...

Twenty-five members of the Homa Bay Court Users Committee (CUC) will participate in a dialogue on HIV, Human Rights and the Law that takes place from the 14-15 August, 2015 in Homa Bay County. This is the first dialogue to be undertaken by KELIN & UNDP-Kenya at the county level as one of the initiatives aimed at taking forward the recommendations of previous regional Judicial Dialogues on HIV, Human Rights and the Law held in 2013 and 2014.

2nd Meeting of the African Regional Judges’ Forum on HIV, Human Rights...

The second meeting of the African Regional Judges’ Forum on HIV, Human Rights and the Law was held on 18-19 June in Johannesburg, South Africa. Twenty-three judges representing the senior judiciary from 13 African countries participated in the Forum. Jurisdictions represented included the judiciary of Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The second meeting therefore had representation from Eastern, Southern and Western Africa and from the Small Island nations.

African leaders adopt experts report to end AIDS, TB and malaria by 2030

Sandton–16 June 2015: African leaders on Sunday during the statutory AIDS Watch Africa (AWA) luncheon meeting adopted the report of AIDS Watch Africa Member States Experts on AIDS, TB and Malaria. The report comes at a critical juncture when the the African Union is reviewing its key health frameworks that will come to an end in 2015. At the global level countries are finalising negotiations for the Sustainable Development Goals that will supersede the Millenium Development Goals at the same time.
